Today, we are opening a new section of VedicTime — a journal for original articles about Jyotish.
We want it to become more than just another collection of materials on Vedic astrology. Our goal is to create a platform for authors who have something meaningful to share: knowledge, research, observations, practical experience, and their own perspective on Jyotish.
Here, authors can publish original work, reach new readers, and become part of the growing VedicTime community. 🌿
🪷 A Space for Authors and Readers
There is already an enormous amount of information about Jyotish available online. Yet some of the most valuable material comes from individual authors — from their years of study, practice, research, and personal experience.
The VedicTime Journal is intended to give such work a dedicated home. Authors can publish articles covering many areas of Jyotish: chart analysis, grahas and bhavas, dashas, transits, compatibility, Muhurta, Panchanga, philosophy, practical techniques, research, and more.
At the same time, we want the Journal to be more than a place for publishing text. Our goal is to give authors tools that make complex astrological ideas easier to explain, illustrate, and explore.
🛠️ An Editor Built for Jyotish
Authors have access to a powerful article editor whose capabilities will continue to grow. Alongside rich text formatting, authors can upload and incorporate images 🖼️ and other elements into their articles. One of VedicTime's special features is the ability to embed a birth chart directly into an article. 🪐
An author can specify the date, time, and place of birth and use the resulting chart as a visual example within the article. This is particularly useful for research, educational materials, case studies, and explanations of specific astrological combinations.
We will continue expanding the editor so that the Journal can become a comprehensive publishing tool designed specifically for serious Jyotish content.
✅ Publishing and Moderation
We want to maintain a high standard of material while giving established authors the freedom to publish independently.
For this reason, the first articles submitted by a new author are reviewed by the creator of VedicTime. This helps ensure that publications are relevant to the Journal and meet its basic editorial standards.
After successfully publishing their first articles, an author may receive trusted-author status and publish new articles without prior moderation. 🚀
🔗 Authorship Is Always Preserved
VedicTime does not claim authorship of materials published by other authors.
The author's name remains attached to the publication. When an article is based on or connected to material originally published elsewhere, links to the original publication and source are preserved.
We want the Journal not only to spread knowledge, but also to introduce readers to the people who research, develop, preserve, and share that knowledge. 🙏

There may only be a handful of articles here today. But every new space has to begin somewhere. We hope that, over time, the VedicTime Journal will bring together authors, researchers, practicing astrologers, students, and people who are only beginning their journey into Jyotish. ✨
