VedicTime now lets you search transits using multiple conditions. Set planetary positions, Panchanga elements, or relationships between planets and find the exact periods when every selected condition is true at the same time.
In astrological practice, it is often useful to know more than when a single transit occurs. You may need to find a time when several factors align: for example, Jupiter is in a selected zodiac sign, Saturn is retrograde, and two planets form a particular relationship.
VedicTime's new Transit Search helps you find these periods.
More than one transit: a combination of conditions
The Transits section now has a dedicated Search view. Here, you can build a query from several conditions. The search combines them using AND logic, which means that a period appears in the results only when every selected condition is true at the same time.
For example, you may want to find a time when:
- Jupiter is in Taurus;
- Saturn is retrograde;
- the Moon is passing through a particular nakshatra.
Add these three conditions, choose a search period, and VedicTime will show the intervals when all three factors coincide.
This makes the search useful for studying transits, planning observations, and narrowing down possible times before conducting a more detailed Muhurta analysis.
Available conditions
The search uses stored transit data and covers several groups of astrological indicators.
Planetary positions:
- zodiac sign;
- nakshatra;
- retrograde motion;
- stored longitude;
- Mrityu bhaga, Pushkara bhaga, and Pushkara navamsha.
Panchanga elements:
- tithi;
- karana;
- yoga;
- lunar month in the amanta and purnimanta systems;
- ayana.
Relationships between planets:
- distance in zodiac signs;
- aspects;
- positions in kendra or trikona;
- Duhsthana, Maraka, and Upachaya.
For compound conditions, VedicTime automatically observes the valid distances between planets. When searching for aspects, for example, only the positions defined for the selected aspecting planet are available. Invalid combinations cannot be applied.
Each result is an exact period
The search returns the beginning and end of each matching period instead of a single date. Times are displayed in the time zone of the selected location.
If a matching state begins before the selected date or continues beyond it, VedicTime shows the complete period that intersects the search range. You can see the true duration of the combination instead of an artificially clipped fragment.
Every result also shows the conditions used to build the query. Even a complex search remains easy to verify because you can immediately see which transits coincide during the interval.
From a matching period to Muhurta
A magnifying glass button appears next to the beginning of every period. It opens Muhurta with the date and exact start time of that interval already selected.
This provides a quick path from broad period selection to an in-depth analysis of a specific moment, including the chart, favourability, and the other indicators available in Muhurta.
Paid subscribers can also apply the boundaries of a matching period directly to the search form. The exact start and end times are preserved, rather than only the calendar dates. This is useful when progressively narrowing down the results.
Search, Timeline, and List
The Transits section now consists of three independent views:
- Search finds periods that match selected conditions;
- Timeline shows how transits develop over time;
- List presents the same events in chronological order.
Each view has its own shareable URL. You can bookmark a particular screen and scale or send the link to someone else.
Plan availability
The free plan lets you combine up to two conditions and search across a period of up to one year. Three fundamental condition types are available: Zodiac sign, Nakshatra, and Retrograde.
A paid subscription lets you combine up to eight conditions, use every available transit type, and search across a period of up to ten years within the date range included in your subscription. Locked types remain visible in the selector, so you can review the extended search options before changing your plan.
How to start a search
- Open Transits and select the Search view.
- Enter the date range manually or choose a quick period.
- Configure the first condition.
- Add more conditions if needed.
- Select Search.
Results are loaded ten periods at a time. If there are no matches, try a wider date range or fewer conditions. The search uses stored data, the selected location, and your calculation settings, so an empty result may also mean that suitable data is not yet available for part of the period.
Transit Search turns a list of planetary movements into a practical research tool: describe the astrological conditions, find when they are active, and continue with a detailed analysis of the selected time.
